One of the most common types of accidents that affect a large number of employees is slips and trips. Slips and trips can result in many different types of injuries. Mostly, the effect is not serious, but there are times, when employees end up sustaining serious injuries such as broken bones, head injuries, spinal injuries and deep lacerations. If it can be established that you sustained slips and trips injuries at work due to someone else's negligence, you may be able to pursue a work injury claim.
But, making an injury claim is not as easy as it looks. This is because there is always some anxiety about making a claim against the employer. People are always worried about their job security and think that claiming against the employer will lead to them losing their job. If your employer has acted negligently and you have suffered injuries as a result, you should not see this as an issue. You are claiming compensation against the liability insurance your employer has in place. Every employer is required to have insurance cover so that innocent victims like you can get access to justice.
There are also other types of serious accidents which can take place at work and give rise to work injury claims.
